Product Information

The most widely used high-manganese steel hardfacing electrode for overlaying various equipment exposed to impact, shock, friction, and pressure. Typically used in the coal and cement mining industries, and in steel. Highly resistant to heavy impact and friction — the weld metal work-hardens further in service. An initial layer with Starlet 717 E is recommended for good bonding and crack protection in thick-layer welding.

Silicon-Chromium Hardfacing Electrode (MIG)

MIG Hardfacing Wire

A silicon-chromium alloy hardfacing electrode, extremely hard, crack resistant, tough, and impact resistant. For the best weld quality, buffer layering with Starlet 595 E.B, Starlet 696 E.B, Starlet 717 E, or Starlet 363 E.A is recommended to achieve maximum strength. Used for hardfacing parts of earth and mineral mining machines, impact drilling and crushing devices, guide springs, cutting tool edges, hard manganese steel, bucket edges and teeth, and alloy steel.
